I guess we all had to grow up sometime. There’s something a little sad about waking up Saturday morning to an America bereft of broadcast ‘toons. Not so fast, welcome to Saturday Morning CONtoons! Coming to Woburn Crown Plaza August 23-25, 2019 you can bring back the magic of those wonderful Saturday mornings! Celebrities, artists, vendors and fun all in one place.

We all remember waking up on Saturday, free from the commitment of school and wanting to do nothing but enjoy a well earned cartoon binge. For some of us that was Schoolhouse Rock and the Jetsons, and for others it was Danny Phantom and Johnny Bravo. Whatever our preference, we all loved cartoons and the profound impact they had on us.

However, one thing that we haven’t really seen is a convention for them specifically. Pick a date and you can find a con for anime, video games, or anything else under the sun. We here at Saturday Morning Contoons want to change that by finally giving such a venue to people of all ages, backgrounds and tastes of Western animation.

We want you to come together to talk about the interesting animation styles of South Park, whether Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny had a bigger cultural impact, or even just how cool your favorite shows are. All in all, we want to have a forum to celebrate all that cartoons have to offer and we want you to join us.

YOOO, JOE! We are excited to have Buzz Dixon, writer for cartoons, films and comic books! His cartoon work includes both writing and editing credits. He wrote numerous episodes of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, The Transformers, Thundarr the Barbarian, Jem, Inhumanoids, Alvin and the Chipmucks, Tiny Toon Adventures, Teen Wolf, and many more. He also served as a story editor for the G.I. Joe and Teen Wolf series and was story consultant on G.I. Joe: The Movie and My Little Pony: The Movie. He has written comics for multiple companies, including Eclipse Comics (where he wrote Destroyer Duck alongside Steve Gerber), Marvel Comics, and a Buck Rogers adaptation for TSR, Inc.

Ashley Nichols, animator for various stylish cartoons. Ashley Nichols has been a prolific animator whose creativity and style are unmatched. Some of her most popular animation credits include working on Hazbin Hotel and Too Loud. Other works she has animated for include The Dover Boys, Ollie & Scoops, and Cartoon All-Stars Reanimate. She maintains a very active online presence and her own account of her exploits can be easily followed on Twitter.

Meet Alanna Ubach, actress for various cartoons. Alanna Ubach has an extensive list of roles played in her career. Notable mentions include, but certainly not limited to are from El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera as the titular character, and Mama Imelda from Coco. Other acting credits include Pound Puppies, Ben 10: Omniverse, The Spectacular Spider-Man and many more. She has also lent her vocal talent to portray Lady Deadpool in the game Marvel Heroes, and Captain DuBois in Madagascar 3: The Video Game. Outside the realm of animated works, her acting has also prominently appeared in Legally Blonde and Friday Night Lights.
